Selling guide

Selling shorts second-hand

Shorts are strongly seasonal and strongly length-driven. The gap between an inseam of seven centimetres and one of thirteen is the difference between two entirely different garments, and buyers filter on it hard.

Photograph it

Lay them flat and photograph a tape along the inside leg. It is a two-second shot that removes the most common question.

What buyers check

  • Inside leg length in centimetres
  • Waist flat, and whether there is stretch
  • Whether they are cut-offs, and how they were cut

The common mistake

Listing shorts in autumn. Holding them until spring is usually worth more than the sale you would make now.

Show it worn, from the photo you already have

Everything above assumes a flat photo is all you have. Wornfy takes that photo and shows the garment on a person, so a buyer can see how it falls — and the free refresher rewrites your image files before you re-list.
